About this experience
Join Executive Pastry Chef Sam Major for a delightful class learning to make croissants! You'll learn how to make plain, chocolate, and savory croissants during this class, plus have the recipes and skills to make more at home!
During the class, Chef Sam will teach you how to:
- properly fold dough and butter together in a process called "lamination"
- shape croissant dough using a variety of modern effects for stunning final products
-make your own dough to use at home
You'll leave the class with new skills, recipes, 6 completed croissants, and 1 lb. of dough you'll laminate in class and be able to use at home to make more croissants.
Your Instructor: Executive Pastry Chef Sam Major
After graduating valedictorian from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Sam trained at five-star, five-diamond hotels; award winning caterers; and nationally recognized fine dining restaurants. He has taught at The Art Institute, Sur La Table, Orson Gygi, and in dozens of homes. He is currently the Executive Patry Chef at Dessert Unlimited, which he started with his wife, Nancy. Chef Sam's most beloved clients are his own four children, who are always planning their next birthday cakes.
