About this experience

Join Executive Pastry Chef Sam Major for a delightful night learning to make tarts! You'll learn how to make fruit tarts and chocolate caramel tarts during this class, plus have the recipes and skills to make more at home!

During the class, Chef Sam will teach you how to: 

line your tart form with classic French tart dough: pate sucree

prepare a variety of fillings and properly fill your tarts

-finish your tarts with a variety of modern decorating techniques and garnishes

You'll leave the class with new skills, recipes, a completed 9" tart, and everything you need to make another 9" tart at home.

After graduating valedictorian from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Sam trained at five-star, five-diamond hotels; award winning caterers; and nationally recognized fine dining restaurants. He has taught at The Art Institute, Sur La Table, Orson Gygi, and in dozens of homes. He is currently the Executive Patry Chef at Dessert Unlimited, which he started with his wife, Nancy. Chef Sam's most beloved clients are his own four children, who are always planning their next birthday cakes.
