Kids 8 and Older Will Bake Fun Back-to-School Treats with an Accompanying Adult

About this experience

Start with a tour of our 4,000 square foot kitchen. Chef Sam will explain all the equipment and tools used in a professional kitchen and give an overview of all the jobs that people do in a working bakery. Then, it's time to bake & decorate some fun back-to-school treats! Take them to your teacher, or enjoy them with your family!


At the end of class, you'll have all the recipes and tips you need to make more at home! 


Caramel Dipped Apples
Chef Sam will teach you how to make caramel, then you'll decorate your apples with loads of fun treats. 


Notebook Paper Rice Krispie Treat
Dip Rice Krispie Treats in white chocolate and make it look like notebook paper using some top-secret edible techniques. 


Teacher Cupcakes 
Make cupcakes from scratch and decorate with our signature back-to-school sprinkle mixes 


The fee for this class includes one adult and one child baker.

After graduating valedictorian from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, Chef Sam trained at five-star, five-diamond hotels; award winning caterers; and nationally recognized fine dining restaurants. He has taught at The Art Institute, Sur La Table, Orson Gygi, and in dozens of homes. He is currently the Executive Patry Chef at Dessert Unlimited, which he started with his wife, Nancy. Chef Sam's most beloved clients are his own four children, who are always planning their next birthday cakes.
